At Bridgeman’s Chophouse you will experience an upscale and elegant dining experience. You can just sense you are in for a treat when the greeter says “welcome! ” White tablecloths, dim lighting, nice silverware, and beautiful glassware greet you when you arrive at your table. Begs the question, why? The story we received was that Bridgeman’s Chophouse is named after Peter Bridgeman who worked at the Read House for over 4 decades and gave 5 STAR customer service to all guest. So the restaurant was named in his honor, and it is clear that that same attention to detail to make every customer experience unique and special still exists at the establishment today,

Bridgeman’s offers the finest cuts of steak (which we tried and was not disappointed), but for those that might like a little surf-n-turf, they also nice seafood options (we tried the seafood tower seen in the pictures above…which we highly recommend!) They also offer an extensive wine list (which we also tried!) and quite possibly could be the largest wine menu selection in Chattanooga.

We would also recommend checking the menu to see if the “death by chocolate bomb” is available. Pictured here with the hot chocolate ganache being poured over the bomb to reveal the chocolate surprise on the inside!

This can be experienced simply as a date night out, or by staying at the Read House and enjoying a combo package. You can check out more about our trip to the hotel here!

Is it expensive? For most budgets, I would say yes. The experience is comparable to that of a visit to a Ruth Chris’ Steakhouse. But is it worth it? I would also say yes. For most folks, this would not be a go every Friday night visit, but for special occasions or a celebration splurge, this is worth jumping on line making a reservation and giving this a try. We think you will walk out saying, “What a weekend getting to treat ourselves to this place!”
